Recap of 2007
The Pathway Plus Club traveled to Eureka Springs and Branson in October. We enjoyed great music, beautiful scenery, a long bus trip and great companionship. Pathway Club members are some of the finest people one could ever hope to meet. We spent a lot of time getting to know each other and enjoying each other's company. They say that laughter heals the spirit, and we spent a lot of time laughing together. The line from Yakov Smirnoff that followed us home, went something like, "I bet you never thought of it that way, but YOU WILL NOW," as Yakov gave us a Russian perspective on favorite American expressions. I'll bet we will all smile as we say things like, "my car is a lemon," knowing that there is some foreigner out there somewhere handing a parking lot attendant a $1.00 to buy a lemon.
Pathway Club December Mystery Tour - Several members of the Pathway Plus Club met at the bank in Ord and car-pooled out to Hughes Haven Christmas Village. This was the final showing of the Christmas Village, which comprises over 250 houses/buildings and an entire room filled with over 30 years of a family collection, set amongst trees, mountains, streams and snow. The set included three old fashioned steam engine train sets, several complete villages, farms, and more. After viewing the village, club members traveled out to The Shepherd's Inn for a five course meal and murder mystery on the final voyage of the U.S. Tyranic. Each club member read their clues and played their part as they unraveled the twists of the play.
